Why the Top Gear Reboot Isn't That Bad

No One Likes Change - But It Really Isn't Terrible

The New Hosts, Matt (Left), Chris (Middle) and Stig (Right)

News hit the nation when it was revealed that Jeremy Clarkson had been sacked by the BBC after his actions towards the producer of the show. People then speculated if Top Gear was to actually continue on the BBC or if the trio would triumph on with the show on another network. It turned out that Top Gear would remain with the BBC and Clarkson, May and Hammond would have to go their own way and create something new.

On Sunday 29th May Top Gear returned to BBC Two with a new format and a new host line up. Chris Evans and Friends star, Matt Le Blanc take over the show to deliver something new and fresh. Not only that, the one and only Stig returned to Top Gear as he took to the track.

Top Gear Version 1

"We got custody" - Chris Evans cheered.

The studio itself seems to have a much bigger audience to welcome Chris and Matt into the show, which brought more excitement and smiles on people's faces. The reboot itself was full of jokes and laughs. We saw Chris and Matt hit the roads early on in the show as they travelled from the BBC Studios in London all the way up to Blackpool in three wheeled vans. Chris travelled in a three wheeled can with the Union Jack painted onto it. Matt travelled to Blackpool with... Take a guess... The American flag painted on it. Before you ask, no Matt didn't get stuck in second gear. He did seem proud about getting up to fourth gear on the motorway.

Guests Gordon Ramsey and Jesse Eisenberg are the first celebrity guests to take to the sofa on the revamped show. They took to the track to record the very first lap times of celebrities.

Top Gear Version 2

In my opinion, the revamped Top Gear is better than the old version. More suspense, laughs and vibes were introduced to the show itself. Now of course some people out there cannot be pleased. Those people won't be pleased until they see Jeremy Clarkson back on the show. Well put it this way, it won't happen.

The nation has now been divided into two. Half the nation like the new and rebooted Top Gear. Whereas the other half hate it. I must say looking at Jeremy Clarkson's Twitter, I can sense some jealousy from him.
