Picking the right car becomes a little more important once you add kids into the mix. When you’re single, you’re comfortable tooling around in just about anything that runs, but with kids, you need to worry more about space and safety. Here are a few great cars for your family.

Subaru

The 2019 Subaru Outback is the perfect family car. Spacious and featuring all of the safety technology that Subaru has available, the Outback is the whole shebang. It’s affordable, and it comes with all-wheel drive, making it a nice option if you live in a place that experiences adverse weather. The Outback has a good amount of cargo space, and it features a slightly lower center of gravity than many of its competitors, increasing the vehicle’s safety.

Honda

Known for making quality cars, the Honda CR-V 2019 is one of the country’s best-selling SUVs. The CRV comes with all-wheel drive. This means that it’s a vehicle with the ability to go off road, so you can take the family camping. With safety features like blind-spot monitoring, collision-mitigation braking and pedestrian detection, Honda is doing everything it can to keep you and your family happy and safe when you bring home the 2019 CRV.

Dodge

The 2019 Dodge Durango is a fun family vehicle, one that can tow almost anything. Dodge developed the Durango with space for six. The carmaker also made sure that the vehicle could tow up to 8,700 pounds, which means that it’s great for families who have a boat or a trailer. The Durango has plenty of speed, and you can get it with amazing tech features like an 8.4-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has an awesome nine-speaker, 506-watt Beats Audio system, making it perfect for families who like to jam out during long road trips.

Volvo

Renowned for its combination of luxury and practicality, the 2019 Volvo V90 is a vehicle with plenty of space and all-wheel drive. Get this vehicle in the Cross Country trim if you want something a little taller than the standard version. The Cross Country is also a bit more rugged, and it features a streamlined, modern exterior. Since this is a Volvo, it comes with safety features like Pilot Assist, blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assistance.

Chevrolet

Chevy brought out the Bolt in 2017. Since then, the vehicle model has been selling well. Ideal for green focused families, the Bolt makes it easy and guilt-free to take your kids on long road trips. The Bolt is small, but the car company used the available space wisely, giving you room for luggage, drinks and miscellaneous items. The car comes with a 10.2-inch infotainment system, and it has enough space for five people. With the Bolt, you’ll have 16.9 cubic feet of trunk space when the rear seats are in use. If you fold the back seat down, you’ll gain access to 56.6 cubic feet of space, which is plenty of room for yard sale finds.

Chrysler

Chrysler’s Pacifica just keeps getting better and better. The minivan is as stylish as they get, and this one comes with a well-appointed interior. Chrysler is equipping the van with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that gets 287 horsepower. This engine will give you plenty of zip on the roadway. It also features a handy Stow ‘n Go system that makes folding down the second row of seats especially easy, giving you even more room. A hybrid engine is available if you need the extra room, but also like to be a friend to the environment. If you go with this engine, then you can drive as far as 33 miles on just electric power.

Great Cars for Your Family

When it comes to choosing a great car for your family, the choices are almost endless these days. The nice thing about having so many choices is that you’ll be able to purchase a car that not only has the space you need, but one that also has plenty of features to keep your family safe.
