I personally have experienced the truth that lies in the concept of keeping cars for 15 years or longer. My own parents bought their first brand new car together a little before I was born, and brought me home from the hospital in it. Then, 17 years later, when my senior year of high school came around and I first received my driver's license, guess what I drove to school every day? You guessed it, that's same old car.

Now, it all depends on how you treat your car, of course, and the life expectancy on the model. But it is very possible to keep a car in your family for over 15 years. These are ten car brands that will last you; you might see a bit of a pattern.
